William (Bill) Tidwell, Jr. 97, of Midland Texas, passed away on March 27, 2024 in Midland TX. Bill was born to William and Addie Tidwell on April 13, 1926, in  Altus, Oklahoma.

Bill was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army. Upon his discharge from the service Bill moved to McCamey, Texas in 1951 and worked as a typewriter repairman and salesman from 1951 through 1982 covering a wide area of school districts in west Texas. He was also involved as an independent oil producer from 1970 through 2006 at which time he retired.

He married Marie Tidwell February 6, 1954 in Midland, Texas. One of Bill's many talents was playing the guitar and singing for family and friends who enjoyed his talent. He loved to travel and enjoyed many trips abroad.

Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie on August 2, 2011. He is survived by his son, Connell Tidwell of Midland, Texas and many other family members.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey, Texas.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
