Eduvigis “Vickie” Ramirez, 75 of Crane passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born on December 15, 1944, to Saturnino and Edvuigis Acosta, of Marathon, TX.

A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Vickie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She took pride in taking care of her husband, children and home throughout the years. She was adamant that her children get dressed on Sunday’s to attend church and be Saved. It brought great joy to her to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved watching QVC and having the latest kitchen gadgets. Her collection of makeup, jewelry, perfume and nail polish was anything but short; as you could always find with her nails painted, hair fixed and jewelry on. To no surprise, she was a master at Snapchat and Facebook, which kept her informed on her children, grandchildren and world news. She openly shared her cooking recipes and taught family members how to make tamales. After the death of her husband, she was gifted a dog, named Gidget, who became her best friend and companion.

Survivors include sons, Gilbert Ramirez and wife Anette, of Odessa, Eddie Ramirez and wife Amy, of Midland, Noel Ramirez and wife Lisa, of Nome, A.J Ramirez and wife Heather of Pecos; daughters, Ezilia Chisum and husband Wayne of Crane, Delia Ramirez of Odessa, Melissa Marroquin and husband Jose of Midland, Jennifer Ramirez of Odessa; twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; sisters, Isabella “Chavella” Celaya of Phoenix, AZ, Espie Gutierrez of Midland, Mary Granado of Midland and Josie Valdez of Odessa, Manuela Rodriguez of Dallas; brothers, Martin Acosta of Odessa, John Acosta of Crane, Armando Acosta of Odessa and Frank Acosta of Odessa. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Magdaleno “Mike” Ramirez, mother and father, Saturnino and Edvuigis Acosta.

The viewing will be May 4th from 9:00AM-9:00PM at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home located at 1503 S. Gaston Street, Crane, TX 79731. Flowers can be purchased at Little Flower Shop in Crane, TX.
