Sammie Robert Selby, 90, of McCamey, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the McCamey Convalescent Center in McCamey.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey with Donnie Anderson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of McCamey.
Sammie was born on August 11, 1921, in Desdemona, Texas. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Army Airforce. Sammie had lived McCamey for 64 years. He was a retired Rancher, restaurant owner, and Humble Pipeline.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Selby of McCamey; two sons, Sammy Selby Jr. of McCamey, and Stanly Selby MD and his wife Virginia of Abilene; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
