Omaga Christine "Chris" Valdez

Omaga Christine “Chris” Valdez, 78, of Iraan, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in McCamey.

Chris was born on July 11, 1944, in Stephenville, Texas.  She had lived in Iraan for over 44 years.  Chris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iraan.  She enjoyed fishing, puzzles, working, and watching the Hallmark Chanel, but what she loved most was spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Valdez; three brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie Snyder and her husband James of Tennessee, Anita Mills and her fiancé Kenneth Howard of Karnes City, TX; two sons, Bubba Mills and his wife Sharon of Lipan, TX, and Kalvin Mills of Granbury, TX; one sister, Marie Mills of Lipan, TX; two brother, Gayland Bullard and Bobby Bullard, both of Hico, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held from 10am until 1pm on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Iraan Community Church.  Graveside services will be held at 2pm at the Restland Cemetery in Iraan.

Arrangements are under the care of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
