Oleta Mae Copeland, 64, of Crane, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Odessa.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home in Crane from 6pm until 8pm on Friday.
Graveside services will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Crane County Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Parker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Oleta was born on August 17, 1947 in Odessa. She had lived in Crane since 1974. She was a Baptist. Oleta enjoyed to embroidery, listening to music with her son, as well as being as an avid reader. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Oleta had two dogs, Sandy and Jenny that were a very special part of her life.
Oleta was preceded in death by her husband, Dearrel Copeland; a son, Derrick Copeland; and a sister, Jeanie Phillips.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Copeland and his wife Christina of Odessa, and Richard Copeland and his wife Alisa of Friendswood, Texas; and five grandchildren, Nathaniel and Matthew Copeland both of Odessa, and Alexia, Jackelyn, and Lance Copeland, all of Friendswood, Texas.
