Neva McCorkle

Neva McCorkle, 83, of Fort Stockton, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the Nursing Home in Fort Stockton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2015, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane with Reverend Dr. Jim Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Homes.
Neva was born on December 24, 1931, in Lancaster, Texas. She was a homemaker and had lived in Fort Stockton since 1962, moving from Crane.
She loved doing all types of puzzles, gardening, and yard work. Neva loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Chyrel and great grandson Robert. Neva also loved butterflies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George McCorkle on March 11, 2009; her parents, Will and Neva Lowrey; and two brothers.
Survivors include her son, Glenn McCorkle and his wife Arna of Fort Stockton; her granddaughter, Chyrel Mayfield and her husband Kerry of Lubbock; and one great grandson, Robert Mayfield also of Lubbock.
