Michael Luis Zuniga, 36, of McCamey, TX passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
Michael was born in Clifton, TX on August 7, 1984, to George and Kathy Zuniga. Michael graduated from Alvarado High School in 2002. He was a welder by trade working in the West Texas oilfield. Michael enjoyed welding as a hobby and also fishing and hunting. His most recent past time was cornhole, and he did not like to lose! Above all of these hobbies, his most favorite thing to do was spend time with his little buddy and son, Cash Layne Zuniga.
Cooking on the grill and smoking some amazing meals for his family are memories that will be treasured by those who loved him.
Michael is survived by his handsome boy Cash Layne Zuniga; his parents Kathy Russell and George Zuniga and Mari; sisters Maria and Elizabeth Zuniga, Kelley Russell; aunts and uncles Armida Zuniga, Margarita and Junior Meraz, Daniel and Jeanna Zuniga, Gene and Sheila Russell, and Troy and Lisa Russell. Michael was still blessed with his grandparents, Gene and Connie Russell, and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pascqual and Maria Zuniga, and his uncle John “Buddy” Seilhant.
Michael is also survived by his fiancé Jessica Diaz and her three beautiful girls Ajah, Alyah, and Arissah. He truly loved these girls.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 12th at the Dunbar Building in McCamey, TX.
