Mary Poole, 97, of Crane, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Crane Nursing Center.
Private services were held on Saturday at the Crane Cemetery with Minister Mike Smith officiating. Arrangements were under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mary was born on August 15, 1915 in Bogota, Texas. She had been a longtime resident of Crane, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mary Street Church of Christ. Mary was a talented painter and loved to oil paint.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Horace R. Poole on December 13, 2008.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Lively of Odessa; a son, Ron Poole of Roseburg, Oregon; a brother, Granville Jones of Commerce, Texas; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Our family would like to thank the staff of the Crane Nursing and Rehab Center for the many years of care and love provided for our mother.
