RANKIN: Martha J. Shipp, 79 of Hobbs, NM and formerly of Rankin, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Hobbs.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Rankin Cemetery with Reverend Matt Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Martha was born on November 22, 1931 in Tarrant County, Texas. She was a homemaker and also was retired as manger of the Town and Country Food Store in Rankin from many years. She was a longtime resident of Rankin; and a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son, Kirby Shipp and his wife Penny of Midland; her daughter, Kathy Molina and her husband Phillip of Hobbs, NM; four grandchildren, Jana Cook, Jared Shipp, Chelsea Molina, and Collin Molina; and one great grandchild, Kody Cook.
