Mark Woodfin

Mark Woodfin, 57 of Crane, TX, passed away on November 15, 2023.

Born to Esther Wilson and Doug Woodfin on September 10, 1966 in Rankin, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Wilson, father Doug Woodfin, and daughter Jennifer Tavarez. Mark is survived by his wife Denise Woodfin, his children Stormie Rodriguez and husband Marcos, Tyler Woodfin and wife Jessica, and the joys of his life, his grandchildren Boston, Jeter and Ryker Rodriguez and Paislee Woodfin.

Mark is also survived by his brother, Skip Woodfin; two sisters, Amy Swiney and Sonja Puga; step-father Robert Wilson; and step-mother, Nell Woodfin.

Mark broke out in the oil field working with Trey Trucks, and shortly after he went to work for City Pipe. He built a career as a truck driver, almost 40 years, a job that he loved. He managed to grow that love for the trucking industry into something bigger, and started his own company, Just Trucking. Bringing to light his entrepreneur’s heart. Despite his tough and rugged exterior, Mark was a kind-hearted man. He would always try and help others where he could, even by helping them start their own businesses and reaching their goals. Mark always wanted others to be able to have an opportunity just like he had. As the years passed, he decided to explore other opportunities and branched into home building and helping others achieve their dreams of home ownership as a real estate agent for several years. He most recently went back to working within the trucking industry at Allied Oilfield Machine & Pump. Mark found an amazing work family with Allied. Truly felt blessed working for such a great company.

Paw Paw is the title that Mark was most proud of. He was an amazing and loving grandfather to his grandchildren. He made sure to be present and show them all the love a Paw Paw could. He loved spending time with them and watching them grow. After experiencing the loss of his daughter, he made it his mission to be present for the children and grandchildren that he had remaining. Along the way he managed to find his way back to the Lord and church. This brought a great sense of pride to his son and daughter. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband who was deeply cherished by his family. His dedication to his loved ones and his desire to support others in achieving their dreams is truly inspiring. He will be missed.

The family wants to extend their sincere appreciation to all the first responders, medical staff at UMC – Lubbock and Dallas Peña with Allied. Words will never be enough.
