Maria Granado, 91, of McCamey, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the McCamey Convalescent Center.
Rosary will be said at 7pm on Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Funeral Mass will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Maria was born on May 14, 1921, in Presidio, Texas. She was a homemaker and had lived in McCamey since 1952. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Apolonio Granado; a son, Noe Granado; two daughters, Esther Garza and Emma Granado; grandson, Ralph Granado; and a great granddaughter, Melanie Cadena.
Survivors include five sons, Frank Granado of McCamey, Amador Granado of Katy, Robert Granado of McCamey, Sammy Granado of McCamey, and Billy Garza of Hobbs, NM; two daughters, Rachel Garcia of Odessa, and Norma Cataño of Austin; two brothers, Gaspar Carrasco of Dallas, and David Carrasco of Hart; one sister, Ramona Barrandey of Midland; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
