MARIA ANTONIA GAMBOA
RANKIN: Maria Antonia Gamboa was born June 13, 1953 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Antonio and Francisca Meza.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at the Park Building in Rankin. Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Park Building with Father Isadore officiating. Burial will follow in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home. She married Manuel Gamboa, Jr. on April 23, 1976. She was preceded in death by her mother, Francisca Meza; and her father, Antonio Meza.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Gamboa, Jr. of Rankin; two sons, Manuel Gamboa, III and his wife Irene of Rankin, Auden Gamboa and his wife Lizette of Midland; a daughter, Ana Gamboa; of Rankin; nine sisters; one brother;
8 grandchildren, Manny, Julian, Ezra, Isaac, Jacob, Lauren, Mia, and Marli; and numerous nieces, nephews.
She opened the door to El Jacalito Restaurant on September 13, 1989, and was a hard worker.
Maria was a proud Rankin Red Devil booster for many years. She never met anyone she did not befriend, and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed as she was a mother figure to many.
