Maria Dolores "Loly" Deanda, 93, of Crane, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Crane Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 3, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Pallbearers will be Jr. Deanda, Fabian Deanda, D.J. Rivas, Jr. Pena, Oscar Velasquez, Ezekiel Ramirez, Osvaldo R. Huertas Jr. and Timmy Rivas. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Loly was born on February 22, 1918, in Fort Stockton, Texas. She had lived in Crane since 1973 and was a homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Loly was preceded in death by her husband, Toribio Deanda; and a daughter, Corina D. Rivas.
Survivors include three sons, Toribio "T.C." Deanda Jr. of Crane, Felipe Rivas of Tyler, and Danny Rivas of Crane; five daughters, Linda Velasquez and Juanita Lozano both of Crane, Sylvia Colomo of Fort Stockton, Norma Carrasco of Monahans, and Nora Ramirez of Odessa; 18 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great grandchildren.
