Maria U. Carrasco, 92, of McCamey, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7pm on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey. Funeral mass will be held at 11am on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Maria was born on November 26, 1920 in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, Manuel Carrasco and his wife Carol of El Paso, Juan Carrasco of McCamey, Steve Carrasco and his wife Christi of Arlington, and Roberto Navarette of McCamey; three daughters, Elva Fernandez of McCamey, Elia Wells and her husband Fred of Del Rio, and Tina Zuniga and her husband Stacio of McCamey; three brothers, Jose Urias, Nepunoseno Urias, and Jose Maria Urias, all of Presidio; three sisters, Paula Machuca of Pecos, Micaela Vuelvas of Odessa, and Regina Herrera of San Antonio; 24 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and 29 great-great grandchildren.
