McCAMEY: Lucinda Casias, 87 of Lamesa, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Deacon Arturo Casias officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mrs. Casias was born on October 18, 1922. She was a homemaker and had lived in Lamesa since 1976. She was a member of the St. Margaret Catholic Church in Lamesa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Casias; and a sister, Augustina Mancha.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond Casias and his wife Eloisa of Odessa, Arturo Casias and his wife Margaret of Vernon, TX, and Juan Manuel Casias and his wife Bertha of Odessa. Also surviving are five brothers, Santiago Salinas of San Antonio, Juan Salinas of Chicago, IL, Daniel Salinas of San Antonio, Tomas Salinas and Mario Salinas, both of Summerset, TX; five sisters, Erlinda Casias of McCamey, Susie Gonzales of San Antonio, Amada Perez of Katy, TX, Enedelia Gonzalez of Von Ormy, TX, and Maria Luisa Giatan of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
