Linda Gail Edwards entered eternity on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Crane, Texas. She was born August 17, 1943 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Laverne and Douglas Hoffman.
When she was one month old, her family moved to Crane, Texas in 1943. She attended Crane schools as a child and teen and remained a Crane resident for most of her life. She was a clerk for the Texas Department of Health and then Texas Tech Rural Health Clinic. She married Cliff Edwards on September 26, 1960. Linda was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a long standing member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Crane.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Laverne and Douglas Hoffman. She is survived by her husband, Cliff Edwards; daughter, Samantha Bankhead; son, Lance Edwards and his wife, Jencie Edwards; sister, Patricia Hays and husband, Irvin, and sister, Susan Strang; granddaughters, Sarah Skolfield and Elaine Truitt; grandson, Perry Edwards and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for January 30th at 3:00 pm at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, at 207 W. 5th in Crane, Texas. Everyone is welcome to attend, but a virtual option will be available via Facebook live.
