Lillie Belle Baker Holland, 95, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Iraan Church of Christ with Jimmy Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Iraan Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Lillie was born on May 23, 1923, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was married to Frank Gamble Baker on August 31, 1940, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Lillie came to Iraan 69 years ago with her husband, and two boys, Jimmie Lester and Joe Lynn. In 1958, Joy Leann was added to complete the family. She was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother-but above all, she loved the Lord. Lillie was an artist, great cook, seamstress, and a loving grandmother to all children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Baker; son Joe Lynn Baker; four sisters; five brothers; and husband Rufus Charles Holland.
Survivors include son Jimmie Baker and wife Judy of Granite Shoals, TX; her daughter, Joy Gilley and husband Melvin of Iraan. Grandchildren, Kimberly Baker Boatman and husband Dana of Dallas, Jay Baker and wife Beth of San Antonio, Amanda Noe of Odessa, Brandi Gilley of Alamogordo, NM, Jarrod Baker and wife Brandi of Dallas, Jordan Baker and wife Leslie of Katy, TX; great grandchildren Wesley Noe and Wesley Patrick Baker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Iraan Church of Christ-P.O. Box 308-Iraan, Texas 79744.
