LEOPOLDO M. (LEO) TARIN

CRANE: Leopoldo M. (Leo) Tarin, 68 of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at his residence in Crane.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the Crane County Exhibition Building with Minister Rick Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.

Leo was born on August 13, 1941 in Grandfalls, Texas to Casimiro and Francisca Tarin. He had lived in Crane since 1987. He was a rancher, and a member of the Dorothea Street Church of Christ. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Elujenio Tarin, Emilo Tarin, and Roberto Tarin; and sisters, Juanita Tarin and Anita Porras.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Tarin of Crane; his sons, Leo Tarin, Jr. of San Angelo, George Tarin, Willie Tarin, Noel Tarin, and Joel Tarin all of Crane; his daughters, Imelda Porras of Plainview, Mary Bel Holguin, Melinda Zuniga, both of Crane, Susie Garza and Belinda Gallegos both of Odessa; step sons, Saul Morales of San Angelo, Robert Morales of Las Vegas, NV, and Hector Morales of Monahans, TX; and a step daughter, Gracie Morales of Monahans; four sisters, Manuela Mandonado of Plainview, Maria Augrelia Tarin of Odessa, Elpidia Duena of Lightning, TX, and Lusia Salgado of El Paso; 25 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
