Lee Boyd Henry of Rankin, passed from this life into the presence of our Lord Jesus on August 14 at the age of 98.

He was born on a farm near Chillicothe, Texas on Feb 3,1925, to parents Paul and Elnor Henry, and was one of five children. As teenagers, he and Juanita Morris met and fell in love, but postponed marriage until Lee completed his service to the U.S. Navy during WWII. They were married on Aug. 28,1946, and farmed the land until moving to Rankin in 1957. Lee was a warehouseman for Halliburton until his retirement in 1982. He and Juanita (Nita) were blessed with two children, Debbie Henry Meredith (Gary) of Odessa, and Bryan Henry (Donna) also of Odessa. Lee lived a long and full life, exercising regularly and walking several miles daily until in his 90s! He loved to garden and watch things grow, and was always there for his family.

He was pre-deceased by parents Paul and Elnor Henry of Chillicothe, two siblings, and wife Juanita of Rankin. He is survived by his daughter and son, brother Fred Henry (Norma) of Bullhead City, Az, his sister Sharon Brock (Marshall) of Chillicothe, Tx, his three grandchildren and eight gr grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at the Rankin Cemetery at 2 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2023. A very speciaI thanks to friend and neighbor Cecil Johnson, who kept watch over Lee in his final years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Rankin.
