Laurene Compton, 68 of Rankin, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Rankin. Burial will follow in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Laurene was born on August 7, 1943 in Jackson, Michigan. She married Earl Compton on August 1, 1963 in El Paso. Laurene has lived in Rankin for the past 11 years; and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband Earl Compton of Rankin; two sons, William Earl Compton and Keith Edward Compton both of Garland; three brothers, Clark Titus of Austin, Robert Titus and Lauren Titus Jr. both of El Paso; a sister, Marilyn Wright of Rankin; and five grandchildren.
