Julia M. Walker

Julia M. Walker went to be with her Savior on May 5, 2015. She was born in Midland, Texas to Lula M. Jones and Julious Price. She was a loving mother to all of her children and there wasn’t nothing she wouldn’t do for her children-they were her world.
Julia loved the Lord. She loved her church family, as well as her church. She spent most of her time helping others, and would help anyone.
We the children of Julia M. Walker were truly, truly blessed to have her in our lives as our sweet, sweet Mother. She will be truly missed!
She is survived by her brother, Sherman Price of Denver, Colorado; sister Margeret Prince of Denver, Colorado; her children, Frederick Walker of Crane, Nathan and Frieda Woods of Crane, Darren and Nancy Walker of Milwaukee, Fredie and Laurie Smith of Crane, Gus and Ann Walker of Kansas, Kenny Walker of Denver, Colorado; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
Julia was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 11, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Crane with burial to follow in the Sunset Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Woods, Brandon Smith, Pookie Woods, D’Angelo Woods, Herbert Anderson and Mookie Woods. Honorary Pallbearers are Frederick Walker, Darren Walker, Gus Walker, Kenny Walker, Fred Smith, Nathan Woods and Luther Morris.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
