Juanita Fay Cox Harrison, 85, of McCamey, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in McCamey.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home in McCamey. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday May 12th at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.

Juanita was born on August 12, 1933 in McClain County, Oklahoma. Juanita moved to Texas where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Harrison. She married the love of her life on February 26, 1966, in Odessa, Texas. They were married for a total of 53 years.

She worked at Wink schools in cafeteria and then became a homemaker, she loved her family very much she was an only child. Juanita had 10 children of her own and 3 children of Kenneth’s totaling 13 mine, his and ours 6 boys and 7 girls which were loved dearly. She loved camping and fishing. She enjoyed all holidays with her children and grandkids. She loved cooking for her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved making candy for each family member. She loved sewing, making clothes for all of her kids and grandkids. Her favorite thing to do was play board games and cards with her family. She loved crafts.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Harrison, three children Leon Welch, Mitchell Welch and Billie Welch.

Juanita is survived by all of his, hers, and ours. Children: Harry Leon Gipson of Abilene, Texas, Rebecca Kathleen Hallmark of Odessa, Texas, Kenneth David Harrison Jr. and his wife Mary Harrison of Melbourne, Florida, Juanita Berdie Welch of Midland, Texas, Martha June Zieggler and husband Howard of Snyder, Texas, Donald Ray Welch and wife Kathy of Big Lake, Texas, Debra Kay Bale and husband Larry of Houston, Texas, Jeffery Steven Harrison and wife Stephinie of Odessa, Texas, Tina Nadine Haynes of Colmansville, Texas, Karen Lynn Shuler and husband Ricky of McCamey, Texas: and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
