Juan Francisco "Frank" Abalos

September 23, 1946 — September 10, 2015

Frank was born on September 23, 1946 to Selso and Juanita Abalos in Rankin, TX. Frank didn't go far for very long he always came back to his home town. He walked into the Saviors arms on September 10, 2015 in Rankin TX.
Frank was a man full of life, he was one of 12 children. Frank was always giving of his many talents to serve others. He cooked for many people, I believe the love he put in his dishes is what made them so good. Some of those favorites were his BBQ, banana pudding, pineapple empanadas, and cinnamon rolls.
He always had a way to make a room laugh with his jokes, or making fun of someone so everyone else would laugh. He just had a way to bring everyone to laughter.
He had many hobbies cooking, bbqing, playing dominos, going to Friday night football games to watch the red devil and let’s not forget bingo. But one of Frank’s most prideful things he loved was Memorial Day weekend he prepared for months to cook for Barbadoe Festivities every year. He won many ribbons and trophies, and he would feed anyone willing to take a bite from his campsite.
He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Frank always shared everything he did with his family, he always took in his nieces and nephews as his own. He will be greatly missed for he was loved by all.
Preceeded in death a son Augustine Abalos, parents Juanita and Selso Abalos, brothers, Rito, Andres, and Enrique Abalos, sisters Micaela Harro, Natividad Pulido, Natalia Sandoval, Lupe Barrandey, Lola Watson, and Rita Abalos.
