Heaven became a little more tidier on November 21, 2014. Johnnye Ruth Hill passed away peacefully and quietly in Iraan, Texas.
Johnnye Ruth was born April 28, 1942 in McCamey, Texas to Charles and Bessie Ruth Hale.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Tom Hill known endearingly to her as
Oscar, her parents, an older brother Charles “Tadpole†Hale, and a younger sister Carol Ann
Pittman. She is survived by her children Pamilena Garrett of Midland, Michael W. Hill of Ozona, and B. R. Williamson and her husband Joe Williamson of Crane. Also grandchildren Lena Spurgin, Chandler Hill, Harleigh Hill, Hayden Hill, Rose Hill, Gregory Thomas Garrett, Brandon Williamson and Whitney Williamson.
On April 15, 1956 Johnnye Ruth married her sweetheart, Tom Hill. They lived a country life
ranching in Upton, Pecos, Crockett, Sutton and Terrell counties all of their lives. Johnnye Ruth
had a great love for her family and the outdoors and always had her door open to friends and
family.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Marcos Simms of Ozona, Dr. Robert
Garcia, Teresa Callahan, PA, the nursing staff at the Iraan General Hospital and the beloved
Iraan Hospital Auxiliary for all they've done thru this very challenging and difficult time.
