Johnnie Marie Childress Johnson, 74, of Gardendale, and formerly of Big Lake, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015, in Midland.
Graveside services will be held at 10am on Friday, August 14, 2015, at the Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake with Reverend Marcus Zuniga officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Johnnie was born on December 20, 1940, in San Angelo, Texas. She had lived in Gardendale for the past 6 years, moving from Big Lake where she had lived most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and farming.
Johnnie is survived by her two sons, Walter Johnson and his wife Tiffany of Houston, and Scott Johnson and his wife Melissa of Gardendale; a daughter, Piper Bolz of Odessa; her mother, Ruby Childress of Gardendale; a brother, Tommy Childress and his wife Marcella of Big Lake; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
