Jodee Brown Stephens, 49, of McCamey, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, in Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, Texas.
Graveside services will be at Resthaven Cemetery, McCamey, Texas, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4th, 2014.
Jodee was born to Tommy and Phyllis Stephens on November 3, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas. The family moved back to McCamey shortly after his birth. He graduated from McCamey High School in 1983. Jodee ventured away a few times in his younger years, but always returned to the place he called home, McCamey. He was a true cowboy inside and out with a gentle soul whose first love was the horses and animals he grew up with then revered all of his life. He was the happiest when he was out on the open range herding livestock and telling tall tales with family and friends. With his infectious laugh and giving heart, he enriched the lives of those blessed to be in his. RIP Jodee Brown.
Jodee was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a sister, Nicole Stephens; a brother, Heath Stephens; a nephew, Stephen Gorman; and two nieces, KaLeigh Early and Cortney Stephens.
