Jimmy Rey Esparza

Jimmy Rey Esparza of Odessa, Texas passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on December 15, 2022. Jimmy was born on October 15, 1949, in Fort Stockton, Texas to Ciriaco and Timotea Esparza who have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Dora Ramirez and brothers Pablo Esparza, Arturo Esparza, and Fidel Esparza.

 

He is survived by his wife Estella Esparza, daughters Jamie Padron and husband Roman of San Antonio, Sondra Woolf and husband Matt of Odessa; grandchildren Kaytlin Esparza-Heckler, Allyson Padron, Jonathon Padgett, Daniel Padron and Cade Woolf. He is also survived by his brothers Rey Esparza and wife Manuela, Fred Esparza and wife Coty, sisters Aurelia Montoya, Socoro Mejia and husband Manuel, Emma Bernard and husband Jose, Esperanza Esparza and several nieces and nephews.

 

Jimmy was an outgoing, friendly person who never knew a stranger. His stories would brighten your day and keep you laughing. His thoughtfulness and giving nature to help others was incredible. Family always came first and he made sure that everyone felt welcomed and loved. He was an avid gardener and loved to tinker with his cars. He loved spending time with his dogs and feeding his birds.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in Crane on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 9:00am-2:00pm.  Viewing will begin at 9:00am and will end at 2:00pm.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in the Shaffer-Nichols Chapel in Crane.  Graveside services will follow.
