Jesse O. Price, 70, of Crane, beloved husband and father went be with the Lord and Saviour on Saturday, April 07, 2012 at the Crane Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 11, 1941 in Waco, Texas. He spent many years growing up in West Texas and was a graduate of Crane High School in 1959. He spent three years in the United States Army, stationed in Japan. Jesse worked 50 years in the oilfields around Crane and Odessa. He also was a respected member of the Crane County Sheriff's Office as a certified jailer for 20 plus years, all the while maintaining Price's Pumping Service. He was a beloved long time resident of Crane, Texas.
He leaves behind a loving and devoted family, as follows; son, Barry Price and wife Susan of Midland; Daughter Anissa Malone and Husband Michael of Odessa; grandchildren, Teresa and Chad Ellison, Brandy and Perry Lopez, Stacey Gray, Amber Malone, Erik Malone, Kailee Harkins, and Brayson Harkins; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Ellison, Ashtyn Ellison, Justin Lopez, Porscha Lopez, and Patrick Yount; "special nieces", Kara and husband Brantley Harkins, Nikki Aguilar and husband Cody, Jadence McDonald; "special nephew" Jeren McDonald; mother-in-law, Marion Virginia Clayton of Odessa; sister-in-law, Susan Sanders and husband Ray Sanders of Odessa; step-brother, Edson (Eddie) Carter of San Angelo; and a host of family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Lynda Karen (Clayton) Price in February of 2005; mother, Maudie Belle (Kirby)Price; father, Clark Henry Price; step-mother, Lucille Price; and step-brother, JW Carter, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Crane for many years and recently attended the Cowboy Church of Crane.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Crane. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are as follows: Sheriff Robert DeLeon, Chief Deputy Andrew Aguilar, Sgt. Chris Villegas, Mike Farmer, Terry Price, Brantley Harkins, and Chad Ellison. Honorary pallbearers are Lou Oullette and Don Gross.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations made to the Cowboy Church of Crane, or the Door Hope Mission of Odessa.
