Javier M. Garcia

Javier M. Garcia, 67, of Crane, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Odessa Regional Medical Center.

Javier was born on May 22, 1953, in Mexico. He had lived in Crane for 37 years and was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He enjoyed dancing, playing soccer, and working out in his garden. Javier was a hard and dedicated worker who loved his job. He had worked for Key Energy Services as a floor hand since 1988. Javier loved his family and he treasured spending time with them.

Javier is survived by his loving wife, Olivia Garcia; two daughters, Jessica Garcia and Adriana Garcia; his son, Javier Garcia, Jr., all of Crane; his parents, Rogelio and Gregoria Garcia of Mexico; four grandchildren, Addalyn Garcia, Ivan Moreno, Miguel Moreno, and Alondra Moreno, all of Crane; five brothers, Benjamin Garcia, Melitone Garcia, and Jose Cruz Garcia, all of Mexico, Adolfo Garcia of Crane, and Jose Garcia of Los Angeles, CA; five sisters, Trina Velasquez, Irma Rodriguez, and Graciela Garcia, all of Los Angeles, Enidina Garcia, and Maria de la Paz Garcia, both of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane with Father Kumar officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangement under the care of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Due to the current health situation, the church in only allowing 75 to attend the services so we are reserving this for the family. Friends that wish to attend can join the family for the graveside following the Mass.
