Iralene “Snookie” “Honey” Hudson, 91, of Crane, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Crane Memorial Hospital.
Snookie was born on November 2, 1927, in San Angelo, Texas. She had lived in Crane since 1973. She was the owner and operator of Grace’s Café in Crane. Snookie was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others. She loved to travel, but what she enjoyed most was spoiling her grandchildren. Snookie was a member of the Cross and Crown Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Hudson in 2011; her parents Ira Holt and Ella Mae and John C. Searcy; brother, R.A. Holt; sister, Eva Bancroft; and great granddaughter, Saige Price.
Snookie is survived by four sons, Clint Hudson and his wife Sherry of Odessa, Ray Hudson and his wife Suzanne of Lexington, KT, Steve Hudson of Odessa, and Lyn Hudson and his wife Patti of Andrews; her daughter, Cherri Brents and her husband Butch of Crane; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in Crane on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo with Reverend Jim Hester officiating.
