Guadalupe Villanueva, 88, of McCamey, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 22, 2013.
Rosary will be said at 7pm on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Funeral Mass will be held at 1pm on Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Guadalupe was born on December 29, 1924, in Mexico. He was retired farmer and had lived in McCamey for 14 years. Guadalupe was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Maria DeJesus Villanueva; two brothers, and two sisters; and his daughter, Yolanda Acosta in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Socorro Villanueva of McCamey; three sons, Benjamin Villanueva, and Guadalupe Villanueva Jr., both of Oklahoma City, OK, and Francisco Villanueva of McCamey; six daughters, Concepcion Guerrero and Lidia Guerrero, both of Mexico, Olga Powell of McCamey, Maria E. Gonzalez of Odessa, Grace Villanueva of McCamey, and Silvia Villanueva of Oklahoma City, OK; a sister, Mercedez Puebla of Mexico; 26 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
