Glena Mills Preslar passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Midland, Texas. She was born January 22, 1939, in Midland, Texas and was the only child born to Hubert and Pearl B. Mills. She was married to James (Jim) D. Preslar. Glena is survived by her husband Jim of Crane; her children, son James II, and her daughter, Kim Lawson and husband Jimmy Lawson, all of Midland.
In her professional life she worked as Land Manager for Griffin and Burnett Oil Company running land crews in West Texas, New Mexico, Panhandle Area and Oklahoma until they closed their business. She then worked as an Independent Landman for many years before assuming ownership of Crane County Abstract Company.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for fifty-seven years and worked many years with the International Order of Rainbow for Girls in New Mexico and Texas as well as Supreme Assembly in Texas.
In accordance with Glena’s wishes, private services were held on April 15; those wishing to make a memorial in her honor may contribute to West Texas Boys Ranch or the charity of your choice.
