Gilbert Delgado Sr.

Gilbert Delgado was born on September 13, 1932 in Rotan, Texas. Parents Alejos and Concepcion Reyna Delgado. He married his beloved wife Delfina Rodriquez in February 1958.

He was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield, Texas. His hobbies were: hunting, reading the bible and discussing bible stories with his morning coffee and all things family.

Preceded in death by his bride Delfina his son Ruben and granddaughter Cindy.

Survived by sons Gilbert Jr, Mario and daughters Irma and Mary Jo. 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was very much loved by his community, an excellent role model not just to his children but to several generations in his community. He walked by faith and not by sight.

Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 2:30 pm at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Sheffield Cemetery.

Due to the current health situation, the family has requested immediate family only attend the services at the Church. (Children and Grandchildren) Please meet the family at the cemetery for the interment services.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
