Geneva Seabourn

Geneva Seabourn, 92, of Crane, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Crane County Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Parker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Geneva was born on October 13, 1919 in Epping, North Dakota. She married Robert Donald Seabourn on October 11, 1941 in Wickerburg, Arizona. She received her degree in Nursing in Minot, North Dakota. She served as the Director of Nurses as well as the Administrator at the Crane Hospital. Geneva retired from nursing in 1965. After her retirement, she traveled extensively in her motor home by herself, and doing so up into her late 80's. Geneva spent a lot of her time in the Valley, living in Mission, Texas.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Donald Seabourn on October 25, 1980; and her granddaughter, Angie Marie Workman on May 23, 1993.

Survivors include her three children, Donna Workman Beardslee and her husband Ricky Jr. of Crane; Leroy Seabourn and his wife Bonnie of Crane; and Rita Allen of Odessa; eight grandchildren, Robert Workman, Gregg Workman and his wife Elisa, Brittani Beardslee, Todd Seabourn and his wife Lora Gay, Katy Seabourn, Monica Parnell and her husband Kaleb, Monty Allen and his wife Camille, and Megan Beckmann and her husband Jim; and 17 great-grandchildren.
