IRAAN: Freddy E. Kneupper, 82 of Rankin, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Restland Cemetery in Iraan with Reverend Mike Wright officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Freddy was born on November 11, 1928 in Seguin, Texas. He was a retired gang pusher for Marathon oil; and had lived in Rankin for the past 10 years; moving from Iraan.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Gail (Pat) Kneupper of Rankin; one son, Lynn Kneupper and his wife Joanne of Cypress, TX; three daughters, Linda McGuire and her husband Bill, and Nell Woodfin and her husband Doug, all of Crane, and Joyce Shipley and her husband Fred of Carlsbad, NM; a stepson, Paul Bird, Jr. and his wife Dixie of Iraan, and a stepdaughter, Cindy Chism and her husband Wes of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and three nephews.
