Francisco Esparza, 80, of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary will be held at 7pm on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Francisco was born on July 22, 1932 in Dallas, Texas. He had lived in Crane since March, moving here from California. He was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ofelia; his parents, Tomas G. and Teresa Esparza; two sisters, Pilar Salazar, and Rosa Primera; four brothers, Armando Esparza, Juan Esparza, Santana Esparza, and Tomas Esparza, Jr.
He is survived by three daughters, Francis Esparza, Nora Esparza, and Dahlia Esparza, all of Santa Fe, NM; six sisters, Angie Holguin of Shafter, California, Maria Antonia Montes, of Abilene, Teresa Velasquez of Crane, Martina Cobarrubio, Manuela Velasquez, and Connie Plata, all of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
