Felix V. Torres

Felix V. Torres, 83, former resident of Crane, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Felix was born on November 20, 1939, in Allende Coah., Mexico.

Felix was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona R. Torres of 64 years, and an infant daughter, Carmelita; a brother and several sisters.

He is survived by four daughters and four sons: 

Ida Sanchez and husband Jose of Las Cruces, NM, Bertha Heredia and husband Ismael of Andrews, TX, Irenio Torres and wife Lori of Lubbock, TX, Terry Abila and husband Nick of Odessa, TX, Tony Torres and wife Liz of Odessa, TX, Maria Del Bosque and husband Paul of Odessa, TX, Felix Torres, Jr. of Lubbock, TX, and Cisco Torres and wife Crissy of Odessa, TX; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

He is also survived by a brother, Juan Torres of Uvalde, TX; two sisters, Petra Garcia of Crane, and Fidencia Salas of Mexico.

Felix was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He spent many years working hard ranching and in the oilfield industry.  Felix was an amazing storyteller who was loved by many.

Viewing will be held at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home in Crane on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 1pm until 8pm, and on Wednesday the 15^th from 9am until 9pm.

Rosary will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane.  Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jessie Reyes, Isaac Heredia, Jose Sanchez, Jr., Ceeko Torres, Aaron Torres, and Eric Torres.
