Evangelina "Angie" Saenz

Our darling Evangelina (Angie) Saenz tragically left her loved ones on April 17^th, 2023. Angie leaves behind the love of her life, Rene S. Saenz of Odessa, Texas.  The good Lord blessed her with two loving sons, Adrian Luna of McCamey, Texas and Rene Saenz, Jr. of Odessa and her beautiful daughter, Tina Saenz also of Odessa.  Angie’s various grandchildren added so much joy to her life and she adored each of them immensely.  Angie is survived by her loving mother, Maggie Luna of McCamey, a brother Henry (Anna) of Ft. Stockton, sisters Hope (Joe) of Horseshoe Bay, Annie (Albert) of Midland and Carmel (Gene) of Johnson City along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Angie was preceded in death by her father, Manuel B. Luna and her sister, Irene Prementine. 

Angie was born in McCamey, Texas on May 28, 1953, where she was a proud graduate of McCamey High School. Angie was a cosmetologist, until she started her family at which time she became a housewife, devoting her time to her husband, children and grandchildren.  Angie had many wonderful, close relationships with many of her cousins as well as her in-laws.  Angie was an avid Texas Rangers fan and a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, always sporting their jerseys on game day.  This loving soul will be remembered for her giving nature and sense of humor.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 21^st beginning at 2 p.m. at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home, 1000 FM 1901 in McCamey, Texas and a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening. 

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, a service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 722 S. Burleson in McCamey, Texas with interment following at Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey.
