Elsie Jewel Barton, 72, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at the Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Midland with Pastor Terry Ohlman and Alvin Applin officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Baker, John Caswell, Chris Caswell, and Cody Applin. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Elsie was born on December 14, 1941, in Brown County, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Midland, and she was a Christian. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Albert Barton of Midland; two daughters, Lorrie Baker and her husband Mike, and Gail Applin her husband Alvin, all of Midland; her brother, Preston Snodgrass of Virginia; two sisters, Garlean Easterly of Midland, and Barbara Eoff of Clyde; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
