Edward (Lalo) Ornelas, age 77, loving father of three, and adoring husband to his wife Sophia Ornelas, passed away in the early hours of February 26, 2022, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Edward was born in 1944 in Grandfalls, Texas to the late Thomas and Magdalena Ornelas.
He grew up surrounded by a large family. He had 7 siblings and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Edward was influenced by his family to be a loving and caring man, always giving his time to others. He met his wife Sophia who lived right next door, they fell in love and decided to start their own family. He married Sophia on January 1, 1966.
In his free time, he loved working on cars and loved going to the drag races to race his 68 Camara. He loved old trucks and bought himself a 51 Chevy. He would always say, “stick to Chevy and you can't go wrong”. He loved sitting in his shop, rebuilding motors and of course drinking his beer. He never charged a friend to work on or paint their cars.
