RANKIN: Ed Dison, 59 of Rankin, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Rankin Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Rankin with Reverend Randy Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Rankin Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Ed was born on June 30, 1949 in Canyon, Texas. He was an Air Force Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Ed had lived in Rankin for 31 years. He was a wind energy consultant for Florida Power and Light Energy, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Rankin.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Dison of Rankin, three daughters, Angela Johnson and her husband Rodd of Midland, Stormi Dison of Rankin, and Kim Dison of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren; his mother; one brother; and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Rankin; or the American Cancer Society.
