Douglas Wayne Woodfin

Douglas Wayne Woodfin, age 80, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Crane Memorial Hospital.

Doug was born in Wharton, TX on October 24, 1941, and was a graduate of Rankin High School.

Doug was a truck driver/supervisor for 62 years. He was an avid golfer. In his younger years he also loved to fish. Most days he enjoyed socializing on the back porch at the “round table.” He never met a stranger that he wouldn’t give the shirt off his back for and was very considerate of others. Doug enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Neal and Dora Woodfin, brother Lloyd Woodfin and granddaughter Jennifer Tavarez.

Survived by his loving wife of 49 years Nell Woodfin. Sons Skip and wife Dana Woodfin and Mark and wife Denise Woodfin. Daughter Sonja Puga. Sister Sherry Hasty. Grandchildren Jake and wife Hali Woodfin, Stormie and husband Marcos Rodriguez, Caleb and wife Emily Woodfin, Tyler and wife Jessica Woodfin, Katie Woodfin and Peyton Puga. And 8 great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at 1pm on Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Crane County Country Club.
