Dorris Nelda Shook
April 18, 1931 — September 14, 2012
On September 14, 2012, Dorris Nelda Shook, beloved mother and grandmother, slipped the bond of this earth and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
On July 11, 1948, Dorris married the love of her life, T.L (Bud) Shook. They were inseparable until the day the Lord called him home in 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister.
She is survived by a son Gerald Shook and his wife Lorene of Odessa, two daughters, Sherri Parham and her husband Bob of Midland and Sheila Titsworth and her husband Dean of Rankin, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She loved gardening and working in the yard and continued to do so until her health failed her. Dorris was a member of the First Assembly Church of Rankin.
Graveside services will be held at 10am Tuesday at the Rankin Cemetery. Shaffer Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8pm at Shaffer Nichols Funeral Chapel in Crane.
