Doris Moore, 82, of Crane, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Hospice House in Odessa.
Graveside services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Crane County Cemetery with Minister Ric Allen officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Doris was born on April 20, 1930 in Colorado City, Texas. She married Billy G. Moore on May 15, 1948 in Cisco, Texas. They moved to Crane in 1968. She was a retired florist and had worked for Flowers by Kirksey; Joans Flowers; and for Richard W. Box Funeral Home. Doris was a member of the Dorothea Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill on December 26, 2003.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Moore and his wife Jackie of Greenwood; her daughter, Chandra Hardesty of Odessa; five granddaughters, Heather (Valdo) Esparza, Yvonne Moore, Stephanie Aranda, all of Greenwood, and Jaci and Rachael Hardesty, both of Odessa; five great grandchildren, Makayla, Shayde, Tyus, Clara, and Kaisyn. She is also survived by two sisters, Scharlotte Jones of Bryan, TX, and Elizabeth Walters of Houston, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Alamo Heights Baptist Church Children's Ministry-1305 North Midland Drive-Midland, Texas 79703; or to the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
