McCamey: Don Pinkstaff, 83 of McCamey, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey with Reverend Murray Sauders officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Don was born on October 15, 1926 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He had lived in McCamey most all of his life. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy. Don had retired from the oilfield as a contractor. He was a member of the VFW Post 421 in McCamey, and he was a Baptist. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mable Bassham; and a son, Roger Dale Siegenthaler.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Pinkstaff of McCamey; four daughters, Janette Siegenthaler of Smiley, TX, Claudene Osborn of Vivian, LA, Sharon Harper of McCamey, and Arretta Gandy of Ozona; a sister Norma Wilkinson of Odessa; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
