Dianna Abron

June 27, 1949 — July 30, 2014

MY LIFE
Dianna Abron
I was the third child, born to Bucilla Skinner Abron and Jimmy Lee Abron, on June 27, 1949 in Upshur County.
I attended Crane Bethune School (1956-1965) and Crane High School (1965-1967). I attended Sul Ross State University, in Alpine, graduated from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas where I received a B.A. Degree in Education. Also, I attended San Jacinto Junior College and received a B. A. Degree in Cosmetology.
I accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Crane, Texas under the Pastorage of Reverend T.J. Hollins. After moving to Houston, Texas I became a member of Lily Grove Baptist Church under Pastorage of Reverend Willie Powell. In 1998, due to sickness I moved back to Crane, I united with the Faith in Christ Ministries under the Pastorage of Reverend Ellis D. Lane. As my health continued to decline I united with the Mount Zion Baptist under the Pastorage of Reverend Jackie M. Jeffery.
My mother Bucilla Abron Bowens lives in Crane, TX. My dad Jimmy Lee Abron preceded me in death on December 14, 1982; and extended-dad Reverend Hampton Austin Bowens on July 10, 2014. I have five siblings and three extended siblings, of which one went home to glory (Patsy Ruth Abron) on December 18, 2012. My brothers are: Jimmy Ray Abron (Evelyn); Hampton Austin Bowens Jr. (Rose); George Austin Bowens (Barbara). My sisters are: Dorothy A. Brown, Joyce Marie Williams, Carol Elizabeth Davis and Eunice Faye Travis. Leaving behind Anthony Russell Abron (Andrea), Grandson Wesley Hampton Abron and Jayden Alexander Franklin. As well as a host of loving family and friends.
I have finished my course, I fought a good fight. Now I have taken my rest. Don't weep for me I am well, I walked with God throughout this journey. Remember the good times we shared and your tears of sorrow will turn into joy. Stay with God until we meet again.
Love Dianna
