Devon Ray Zimmerman

Devon Ray Zimmerman, also known as Debo, passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 37 in Abilene, Texas. He was born on July 20, 1986, in Crane, Texas. Devon was an uplifting and encouraging individual who touched the lives of everyone he met.

 He was known for his loyalty and his ability to give his support and love wholeheartedly. His son, Cassius Zimmerman, was his best friend and greatest accomplishment. Devon had a successful career as a top salesman at ROOMS-To-Go, earning multiple awards from 2019 to 2023. He was highly regarded in his field and excelled in his profession. Outside of work, Devon had a passion for football. After graduating from Crane High School, he pursued his football dreams at Texas Lutheran University. He went on to become a semi-professional champion with the West Texas Drillers. 

Devon is survived by his loving wife, Jena Roussarie, his son Cassius, his mother Clarissa Zimmerman, his father Fred Zimmerman, his brothers,  XZavier Zimmerman , Fredral Shade and Joseph Gonzales and sister,  Brittany Gonzales, and his grandmother Viola Winn Gonzales. 

A viewing for friends and family will be held on Friday, January 20th, from 2-5 pm at Thomas Funeral Home located at 1502 N Lamesa Rd, Midland, TX 79701.
