CONCEPCION M. GONZALEZ
CRANE: Concepcion M. Gonzalez, 92 of Odessa and formerly of Crane, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane with Deacon Julio Carrasco officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Crane with Father Laurent officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born on September 20, 1916 in Mexico. She married Benito Gonzalez in 1936 in Mexico. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Catholic Church.
She had lived in Crane from 1971 until 1984. Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by her husband Benito Gonzalez; one son, Jesus Morales; and one daughter, Victoria Gonzalez.
She is survived by seven sons: Salvador Barrera of Modesto, California, Pablo Barrera of Big Lake, Reyes M. Gonzalez of Crane, Alfredo M. Gonzalez of Laredo, Benito M. Gonzalez of Crane, David M. Gonzalez of Odessa, and Juan M. Gonzalez of Del Rio; five Daughters: Juanita De La Cruz of Del Rio, Socoro Lara of Odessa, Angela Orassco of Big Lake, Luisa Garcia of Del Rio, and Maria Figueroa of Crane; two sisters, Aurora Galvan of Del Rio, and Antonia M. Perez of Mexico; 66 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren;
50 great-great grandchildren, and 10 great-great-great grandchildren.
