Clotilde R. Rosales, 93 of Rankin, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Rankin. Burial will follow in the Rankin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay Salinas, Ricky Salinas, Christopher Salinas, Lasaro Abalos, Lasaro Abalos, Jr., Layo Abalos, and John Rosales. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
Mrs. Rosales was born on June 3, 1916 in Sanderson, Texas. She married Felipe Rosales on September 4, 1943. Felipe preceded her in death on February 7, 1998. Mrs. Rosales was a lifelong resident of Rankin. She was a homemaker, and a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Salinas and her husband Jimmy of Iraan; one brother, Pedro Rosales of Iraan; three grandsons, Jay Salinas and his wife Amy, and Ricky Salinas and his wife Belle all of Odessa, and Christopher Salinas of San Antonio; and three great grandchildren, Emily Salinas, Marina Salinas, and Maddy Salinas, all of Mississippi; also surviving are a niece, Mary Abalos and her husband Lasaro; and a nephew John Rosales.
