CHARLIE C. PEOPLES
CRANE: Charlie C. Peoples, 76 of Waxahachie, and formerly of Crane, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2008 in the Kindred Hospital in Mansfield, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2008 in the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Mr. Peoples was born on January 6, 1932 in Dryden, Texas. He was a retired truck driver; and a longtime resident of Crane. He was preceded in death by his son, John Roy Peoples; a daughter, Kimberly "Kim" Peoples; and three brothers, and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Peoples of Crane; two sons, Charlie Peoples, Jr. of Fort Worth, and Darren Peoples of Joshua, TX; three daughters, Caroline Horton of Brownwood, Debbie Darnell of Waxahachie, and Betty Sue Peoples of Spring Town, TX; a sister, Wilma Williams of Sabinal, TX;
11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
